Faces of Long Trail School
Long Trail School’s recent print promotion is sure to make anyone smile. This new booklet, developed for prospects and donors, features profiles of twelve members of the school community — faculty, trustees, staff, students and families.
Each page highlights an individual who exemplifies the openness and intelligence that the school is known for; each member also serves to illustrate the wide range of interests, skills and aspirations that together comprise this small yet diverse academic environment.
In addition to the great people at LTS who put in their time and effort (both on-camera and off), this project owes a lot to the skills and talent of local photographer Les Jorgensen, whose keen eye and relaxed persona helped bring out the best from every subject. We decided to shoot the models, who range from middle school to much later in life, in a series of environments selected to bring out each person’s interests and passions. That led us from traditional settings — the school library, on-stage center, a local book shop — to a more adventurous series of locations, covering tree forts, mountain streams, bike trails, and trampolines. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by the school to see the oversized gallery prints on display in the Hunter Entrance hall.
Each copy of this limited edition book is hand-bound; the format was designed so the school can feature new members of this ever-evolving community on an annual basis.
